Isotope
A uranium fuel rod has fallen from the train that was transporting it from the nuclear power station to the reprocessing plant. For safety reasons an area has been cordoned off around the radioactive material. The Geiger counter reaches dangerously high levels in this zone and thus it is unsafe to enter here.
Your task is to move the fuel rod carefully to the outside of the square where it can then be treated by a specialist team. Once out of the square you can touch the rod. There is to be no throwing, flicking or dragging of any equipment or people. At your disposal you have 15 minutes and some lengths of rope. Work as a team to figure out the solution to this dangerous problem solving activity!
This activity can be run at almost any venue across the UK and can be adapted to suit your needs and objectives. The activity can be run alongside and as part of other tasks and games to make it even more enjoyable. The task will be under professional supervision from the highly experienced Fire Events staff so you will have nothing to worry about apart from having fun!
