“We need to build on our amazing 'can-do' NHS attitude without compromising the well-being of our own people. You gave us a great team day to help with this."

What's it like where you work?
It's a pleasure to be part of a positive and professional workplace. Ok, there will always be times when even the most wonderful organisation has its bad days, or the most professional of people have an off-day - let's be realistic here. Many organisations sit between being great and being ok. Some dip into dire now and then, but only when there are external factors causing stress. Others are teetering on the edge of awful, but even here, people often want better for their workplace as well as better for themselves. On the whole, organisations who have invested wisely in creating a sense of well-being and work satisfaction in all employees, and have managed to balance this caring ethos with the need to produce a healthy output, tend to be the ones who understand and apply the power of a positive workplace culture. They actively ensure that this is fostered wherever possible, and they reap the benefits over and over again.
