MK-Act Team Building Away Day Case Study

MK-Act contacted Fire Events after stumbling upon us on the internet. They had recently increased their team and were looking to organise a team building event to get the team working well as a whole. They had previously undertaken these types of events in the past as a smaller team, but this time wanted to integrate the new staff in to a very established team. MK-Act are a registered charity with limited funds. Other objectives included; “It must be fun, and the delivery of the day must be in a light hearted manner” and “It must help with communication, respect and trust.” After further discussions with the Fire Events team, MK-Act decided they wanted to participate in a Belbin self perception test.

The team started the day off with the icebreaker Raising the Stakes before moving off on to some slightly bigger team building activities. Among these were Stepping Stones, Horseshoe Gutters and Wobbly Tubes.. which was very funny, take a look on the video!

The team also completed their belbin and had an in depth discussion about team work with a specialist Fire Events facilitator. Next came Chain Reaction, which ended in a real bang to cap off a very successful day.
