Stepping stones is a great team building and leadership exercise which can be a difficult challenge to master but offers many solutions to the group. The task encourages delegates to physically touch and support each other to accomplish the teams goal, which is to to cross a selected area using stepping stones. The difficult part is that there are fewer stepping stones than there are team members, so problem solving is required. There are extra rules that the teams must adhere to.

Verbal communication is extremely important in solving this challenge which could help the groups in the future. The short task also teaches the value of group decision making.
