The South is a fantastic location in England for any sort of team building program, team awayday or corporate event that you may wish to participate in. the South is situated in an enviable position having the best of both worlds when it comes to scenic beauty and corporate commercial activity.

In today's modern business world communication skills, leadership skills, self motivation, problem solving and teamworking are critical personal skill-sets that every business requires in order to thrive. This is the case with many of the businesses that we run team building events for in the South each year. This has allowed the South to become not only a regional financial centre but also an international financial centre. The training programmes that we run each year allow participants to develop these skills so that general productivity, motivation and profitability of the organisation are increased.

At Fire Events we will do everything we can to make your event less stressful and less work for you, whether it is finding venues for team building in the South or creating instruction packs for delegates on how to get there. Nothing is too much for us.

Fire Events has a wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise when it comes to designing, creating and implementing teambuilding courses, team awaydays, management development programs and corporate events around the UK. We were established in 1998 as a corporate development training company with our background being firmly rooted in the adventurous outdoor world. The team building events that we have run around the South and the UK since our incorporation have included events as diverse as family fun days, team away days, icebreaker exercises, conference energisers through to large sponsored charity events.

About Southern England

The South of England are imprecise terms used to refer to the southern counties of England bordering the English Midlands. It has a number of different interpretations of its geographic extents. The South is considered by many to be a cultural region with a distinct identity from that of the rest of England. The special cultural, political and economic characteristics of "the South" are, however, not universally agreed upon, nor are its geographical limits and stereotypes of the South mask the cultural, physical and historical differences within this region. For government purposes Southern England is divided in South West England, South East England, Greater London, and the East of England.

Grand Harbour

Famously, it was from Southampton that the Pilgrim Fathers sailed to America to establish the new world. The Hotel which overlooks the point of departure has commemorated this historic event by naming its impressive meeting rooms after the Mayflower and Speedwell, ships that sailed in 1620. The main bedroom suite, the Carver, is named after John Carver, who led the group to America.

More recently, the Titanic sailed from here in 1912 and the Hotel now witnesses the busy Cruiser activity on The Solent - Southampton being the home port of the QM2, The Queen Victoria, Navigator of the Seas and many other famous liners.

Hampton Court Palace is a royal palace in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in south west London; it has not been lived in by the British royal family since the 18th century. The palace is located 11.7 miles south west of Charing Cross and upstream of Central London on the River Thames. It was originally built for Cardinal Wolsey, a favourite of King Henry VIII, circa 1514; in 1529, as Wolsey fell from favour, the palace was passed to the King, who enlarged it.
