The team building events that we have run around Ilkley and the UK since our incorporation have included events as diverse as family fun days, team away days, icebreaker exercises, conference energisers through to large sponsored charity events.

With brand new purpose made offices and a team game manufacturing facility Fire Events is able to effectively and efficiently design, create and run virtually any sort or style of corporate training programme or team building course for our clients. Our 2000 square feet manufacturing workshops also allow us to design and create our very own team games, problem solving tasks and team exercises for use on our events. Our base near the Yorkshire Dales allows us to be centrally positioned for all locations around the UK.

About Ilkley

Ilkley and Wharfedale runs along river Wharfe in West Yorkshire. It is an area of wild beauty, emphasised by high moors and running rivers. Throughout this area you will find some great walking routes, classy festivals, fabulous hotels and marvelous scenery.

Ilkley is well known to be the inspiration for the famous song On Ilkla Moor Baht’at (translation: “On Ilkley Moor without a hat”). The town itself is a stylish spa town with fabulous restaurants, including the Michelin starred restaurant the Box Tree. A great range of boutique shops selling a variety of specialist items can also be found in the high street.

Cow and Calf Vintage Inn

The Cow and Calf in Ilkley can look after all your seasonal food, drink and accommodation requirements. We have ample car parking, a great pub restaurant menu that is available all day, one of the best cask ale and wine ranges in the area and some of the most welcoming and distinctive accommodation.

Once a celebrated spa hotel in the 19th century, our distinctive inn overlooks the famous Cow & Calf rock formation on dramatic Ilkley Moor. It's a panoramic place to wine, dine, relax and rest up overnight.

In 1844, the country's first hydropathic hotel, The Benrhydding was built on the site of The Cow and Calf. In 1873 the building became a private residence called Highfield House, then in 1949 it became a boarding house. When visiting The Cow and Calf, look out for great views across Wharfedale and historic features, like the old Victorian well that still sits in the grounds.
