Electronic Isotope

A uranium fuel rod has fallen from the train that was transporting it from the nuclear power station to the reprocessing plant. Upon landing the fuel rod has split into nine pieces, a large central core with an unstable cap, plus eight smaller pieces surrounding the larger core. For safety reasons an area has been cordoned off around the radioactive material. The Geiger counter reaches dangerously high levels in this zone and thus it is unsafe to enter here.

Your team is one of a number of clean up teams sent in by the government to make the area safe. Your task is to remove the fuel rods to the outside perimeter which they can then be treated by a specialist team. This must be done in sequence and carefully. They must not be dropped or flicked to the perimeter.

This activity can be run at almost any venue across the UK and can be adapted to suit your needs and objectives. The activity can be run alongside and as part of other tasks and games to make it even more enjoyable. The task will be under professional supervision from the highly experienced Fire Events staff so you will have nothing to worry about apart from having fun!
